Merlot Teasel Tablecloth

A particularly special print with a story behind it. Our Teasel Tablecloth began life at a lino printing workshop, where Sarah — Twizzell’s co-founder, designer and mum — first carved the teasel motif during an afternoon printing with friends.

That original lino design has been reimagined as a hand block-printed tablecloth, combining the organic teasel motif with playful stripes in a warm palette of beige and rich merlot.

Printed by hand onto 100% cotton using traditional block-printing techniques, it has the slightly imperfect, individual character we love about artisan-made textiles. The combination of botanical print and stripes makes it easy to dress up or down, from relaxed kitchen suppers to long lunches and autumnal dinner parties.
